“Tired…sated…happy.   Michael, I want you so much.”  She smiled dreamily down at him.  “Take me; I want to feel you inside of me.”

“Yes, my love.  I aim to please.” He smiled indulgently at her, positioning himself between her legs.  She was dripping with wetness and all ready for him.  Without warning, he thrust the whole length of him in with one full stroke.  Kirsten purred in contentment.

“More.  Harder.”  She pleaded, needing to feel more of him.  "Harder." She begged.

He gave her everything and more, thrusting harder and harder until she screamed out his name.  Michael stayed with her, rubbing her back and sides until she fell asleep.  He left before the sun rose.  She would wonder where he went and ask questions.  Maybe it’s time to tell her the truth about what he is and let her decide.  He admitted that he couldn’t leave her; he was too weak in that regard.

Before she was about to doze off, her mind fuzzy with sleep closing in he spoke.  "I have something I need to tell you."

            Silence.  Did she hear him?

"Are you still awake?" He waited for her answer.

"Yes.  Tell me."  She struggled to sit up.

"I'm afraid that you'll turn away from me in disgust or revulsion if I tell you.  I'm scared that you'll leave me."  He was vulnerable, bearing open his heart and soul like that.  He had never done this before, and her reaction to his 'predicament' terrified him like nothing else could, not even death.  How would she take it?

"Michael, I love you.  I know it hasn't been long but I think I've loved you from that first night when you saved me.  No one's ever cared enough to come close to showing me that much affection you've shown besides my Grandmother.  I will NOT leave you."

"You won't?"  Uncertainty and fear radiated from that soft whisper.

"Of course, not.  When you didn't show up for awhile I was heartbroken, I didn't know what to do or where to find you.  If you leave me again, I'll have to chain you up in the bedroom."  She smiled.  Then laughed.  "Maybe I'll even chain myself to you."

            "You won't believe me."

             "Try me." She challenged.

            "I'm a vampire."

Her eyes widen in shock as she stared at him.  Her muscles tensed, and she shivered in fear automatically.  A vampire?  Was it possible?  Do creatures of the night really exist and not just in legends.  Then understanding suddenly dawned on her.  Of course, it would explain all the weird things about him...the speed, the silent way he could sneak up, his strength.  Are vampires bad guys?  No, he couldn't be a bad guy...he's been good to her, never bad and she loved him.  More importantly, could she accept him being a vampire and still be with him?
