And speaking of shopping and fashion design, I found the perfect dress that will look stunning on you.” “Is it one of your designs or a colleague? Ok, all right. We’ll talk later.” “Ok, I hope you feel better.” “I do. Thanks girl. Bye!” Erika did as her friend suggested and called to book an 8:30am appointment at the Canyon Ranch Spa Club. She willed the time to fly away as she sat at the slot machines and played but her brain was numb and she was just going through the motions of pressing the spin button. Winning or Losing, what did it matter? Her mind was somewhere else, wondering where Rick was. She grabbed at quick bite at the Tintoretto Bakery and then glanced at her watch. It was time for her appointment. The atmosphere instantly relaxed her and put her at ease. She sank into the soft cushioned chair and admired the paintings and the décor. The wonderful smells of scented candles, the soft music and the fountain provided a healing and soothing feeling, which she so desperately needed.
